The Pipedream Wanachi Mini Massager is a tiny dinosaur of a sex toy. It’s retro, from the colors and design to its materials and function. But retro is cool when it’s done right. This mini wand is battery powered and made of entirely ABS plastic. The downside is that the product is made of plastic. Yet, the upside, is the Wanachi Massager's rumbling vibrations. Yes, the head is rock solid, and is uncomfortable at first unless you like hard vibrations and surfaces. But nothing rattles and rumbles like ABS plastic. Wanachi’s Mini Massager has a mighty motor. With a dial at the end to adjust speed, you can crank the wand up to feel like a rocket about to launch. Which is exactly what I did, and it transformed my“take it or leave it” attitude to a thumbs up. The neck is poorly constructed with it’s accordion-style design, but the folds are too ridged to actually bend. You can stretch it out to get a solid curve in it, but it still doesn’t behave as well as a silicone neck. Overall, for a toy under $30, it’s not too shabby. I’d say if you’re on a trip and forgot your vibrator, you could pick this one up in a pinch and be content.

Despite their popularity, I don't use a lot of magic wand style vibrators on myself because they're a bit too powerful and I prefer more pinpointed stimulation. However, Le Wand Rechargeable Massager is a really a great quality vibe that is easy to use, powerful, and has a variety of attachments available (sold separately). It's got good rumbles, and isn't as loud as some wands, however it's not that quiet. I love that it's available in a variety of colors too! If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.

Except, when the Liberty arrived, it didn’t work, no matter how long it charged nothing happened. I immediately reached out to Womanizer, and they replaced the toy, no questions asked, and I got a working toy in the end. It’s super normal, though still uncommon, for a toy to show up and not work. Most companies are great about replacing them. Had the Duo Wand just been broken, I would’ve gladly ordered another one. But alas, it showed up in its sealed plastic with stains on the head. I can’t imagine it had been used; that would truly cross so many lines. A toy should always arrive in its best condition, but there was chipping on the metal band around the handle, one button’s decal was smudged, and there were stains. Considering everything that was wrong with this toy, I don’t recommend trying toys from Pipedream.
